The choices we make
Everyone has a choice to make. One choice strengthens our our personality and our addictions while the other strengthens our soul.
It’s easy to rationalize the choices we make and put off what we know what needs to be done today. Some of us have harder choices to make because we have harder addictions to break.
For example, I consult regularly with people who have certain food addictions. They are particularly addicted to foods that are not good for them, like wheat, sugar, corn or dairy products. They know that the food makes them feel badly but they consume it anyway for the temporary relief it gives them from their suffering. Believe it or not, anyone who is generally overweight is doing this because their body is storing excess sugar as fat. However, this is not the only criteria for addiction.
Alcohol, exercise, negativity are other negative behaviors that can affect the quality of our lives and the constant choice to partake in these substances strengthen our personality and take us away from our soul.
THe fatter or more insulin resistant you become is just more work you will have to do at another point in order to lose the weight. For every high there is a low, for every stimulation, there is the opposite. How long can this go on for? Unfortunately people do not stop until their body ceases to function or there is enough pain for their choices that they will do anything to make it stop.
Eventually the choice to expand yourself must be made. It is inevitably how the world is step up and going with the positive flow of the universe really is the only rational choice, despite what your personality may tell you. ?
