Health as an Excuse

Several years ago I was petrified during one of the first times I ventured into the world of internet marketing and entrepreneurship. I saw the potential for my financial freedom, an escape from the mundane nine to five world, and the abundance that I knew I could realize in a short period of time.
However this fear at the time overtook my mind and I looked for excuses in order not to succeed. I was in the physical healing process at the time but I overlooked this and used certain symptoms as an excuse as to why I may fail. Resentment took me over and I became bitter and negative as a defense.
A year later my focus on negativity and the supposed wondrous physical and mental health of successful entrepreneurs created even more bitterness, as I became more and more out of balance. I then used this imbalance and my dis-ease as to further the reason I just couldn’t do it. I refused to face my fear and demons, and justified myself by using negatitivism, which of course did nothing but further what I didn’t want, more dis-ease.” Of course this is nothing I was proud of, but I know now I am not alone in this. Everyone has something to overcome, whether it is mental or physical (or both) but it is not the reason why you are unable to achieve financial success.
Many of my clients have used their own health as an excuse as to why they couldn’t or shouldn’t “risk” their current unhappy situation for new and improved wellness, financial, and spiritual abundance.
It’s so easy to stay with the status quo but we only hurt ourselves when we stay small, desperate, and “dis-eased.” Who benefits from our financial abundance? Our relatives, friends, and everyone we meet. Who benefits from our poverty of lack of healthy? No one. Not even the caregivers designed to heal us, the hospitals, that supposedly try to heal us, or the drug companies who try to cure us. No one benefits from our lack or the excuses we use to stay anchored within this oddly comfortable position.
Running from fear
Feb 4th
Most everyone runs from their fear because they think that this will help them. They make choices in the midst of feeling their fear and then, ironically, step towards and closer to what they actually are afraid of.
For example I used to work for the Internal Revenue Service in the collection department in the state of Florida. When I chose an apartment I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to afford it. When I quit my job I rationalized leaving because I was partially afraid of the responsibility gaining independence would bring. I also didn’t want to end up like some of the clients that I regularly spoke to, “deeply in debt, broke, busted and disgusted,” as a former colleague phrased it.
When I left I ended up just like my clients, and I was in debt, and lost the apartment I was afraid of losing. I Running from your fear is a choice and we can hide from ourselves within our addictions, whichever way we chose to cope, or we can face the inevitable fear that calls us towards us, beckoning us.
Currently, I am experiencing a bit of anxiety as a write this article because it is leading me towards my own financial independence and this is my deepest desire and deepest fear of course. I’d love to use food as my crutch, which I have in the past. Choosing food however strengthens my personality and pushes me away from my long term goals. Choosing to eat when I’m anxious never turns out well but choosing to go for a walk, exercise, buckle down in a project always turns out to be the better choice and the choice that my soul, or shall we call it intuition, would prefer.
What problematic coping skills do you choose when dealing with fear?
The choices we make
Feb 3rd
Everyone has a choice to make. One choice strengthens our our personality and our addictions while the other strengthens our soul.
It’s easy to rationalize the choices we make and put off what we know what needs to be done today. Some of us have harder choices to make because we have harder addictions to break.
For example, I consult regularly with people who have certain food addictions. They are particularly addicted to foods that are not good for them, like wheat, sugar, corn or dairy products. They know that the food makes them feel badly but they consume it anyway for the temporary relief it gives them from their suffering. Believe it or not, anyone who is generally overweight is doing this because their body is storing excess sugar as fat. However, this is not the only criteria for addiction.
Alcohol, exercise, negativity are other negative behaviors that can affect the quality of our lives and the constant choice to partake in these substances strengthen our personality and take us away from our soul.
THe fatter or more insulin resistant you become is just more work you will have to do at another point in order to lose the weight. For every high there is a low, for every stimulation, there is the opposite. How long can this go on for? Unfortunately people do not stop until their body ceases to function or there is enough pain for their choices that they will do anything to make it stop.
Eventually the choice to expand yourself must be made. It is inevitably how the world is step up and going with the positive flow of the universe really is the only rational choice, despite what your personality may tell you. ?
Raising your vibration through diet
Oct 24th
As a huge proponent of the blood type diet I realize that when you change the quality of the food you eat your body begins to change as well. Many individuals have realized optimal health and recovered from many chronic “dis-eases” by choosing healthy foods for their particular ABO Blood Type.
I also have noticed that when some choose healthier foods there is a let down effect and their bodies may become more tired while detoxing. This is normal and healthy and is giving their bodies time to rest and clean itself out while it rebuilds itself with both newly revived nutritional and spiritual energy. As this happens there is a tendency for unexpected negative feelings to come forth which can be unexpected and frightening.
These feelings do not last and when they pass through you, you are left with a deeper feeling of well being and a closer connection with your source, whatever you believe your source to be. I promise you it will feels good in the end, but you have to walk through a dark tunnel to get into an even greater source of light. You have to experience the lower energies that you run from, but once you face them, you end up in an even better place than before.
This is why many shrink down and refuse to change their diet. They know that many of their fears lay dormant, and their addictions keep them suppressed. When their diet improves, their vibration begins to raise and their darkness may exposed to the light. It’s hard to keep things in the dark forever because you are fighting an uphill battle against the universe, which encourages you to face the darkness and liberate yourself.
Facing the unknown in a huge risk because so many of us can get comfortable with the status quo and repeating the same patterns over and over. How many lifetimes can you do this for. How much suffering can you tolerate? Isn’t it easier to face things now, feel the suffering temporarily, only to overcome it permanently? Find out for yourself.
